1. What OpenGate is

OpenGate is software for event organizers and platforms. It creates ticket orders, monitors public blockchains for the transfer that matches an order, issues tickets, validates them at the door and keeps a ledger of sales. OpenGate is not a payment processor, money transmitter, exchange or custodian. We never hold, convert or forward buyers' or organizers' funds. Payments go directly from the buyer's wallet to the wallet designated by the organizer.

2. Roles

3. Checkout and settlement

Each order reserves a unique amount and a payment window. A transfer that arrives with the exact reserved amount within the window is treated as payment for that order and the ticket is issued. Transfers with a different amount, on a different network or after the window are not matched automatically; they remain in the organizer's wallet and are resolved between the buyer and the organizer. Blockchain transactions are irreversible; OpenGate cannot reverse, cancel or recover a transfer.

4. Fees

OpenGate charges organizers or platforms a per-ticket fee as agreed in writing. Network fees for the buyer's transfer are paid by the buyer to the network, not to OpenGate. There is no fee for a buyer to use the checkout.

5. Refunds and cancellations

Refunds are decided and executed by the organizer. OpenGate marks refunded orders in the ledger and cancels the corresponding tickets when instructed by the organizer, but does not move funds. If an event is cancelled, the organizer is responsible for informing buyers and returning payments.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use OpenGate to sell anything illegal in your jurisdiction, to launder funds, to evade sanctions, or to sell tickets to events you are not authorized to sell. We may suspend an account that we reasonably believe violates this section.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the checkout and issuance available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Blockchain networks and node providers are outside our control; delays in confirmation are not a failure of the service.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, OpenGate's total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees paid by you to OpenGate in the three months preceding the claim. We are not liable for lost funds resulting from transfers sent to a wrong address, wrong network or wrong amount, nor for the conduct of organizers or buyers.

9. Data

Our privacy policy describes what we collect and why. Organizers and platforms remain controllers of their buyers' data for the purpose of the sale.

10. Changes and contact
