Privacy policy

Last updated: 13 September 2026

This policy describes what OpenGate (“we”, “us”) collects when you use opengate.im, the hosted checkout at pay.opengate.im, and the organizer dashboard, and what we do with it. OpenGate is operated by the team behind the CERCA community platform in Uruguay and Argentina.

1. What we collect

We do not collect card numbers, bank details or wallet private keys. We never ask for a seed phrase.

2. Blockchain data

Payments are made directly from the buyer's wallet to the organizer's wallet on a public blockchain (TRON or BNB Smart Chain). Transactions on these networks are public and permanent by design; OpenGate does not control them and cannot delete them. The ledger we show to organizers references those public transactions by hash.

3. How we use data

We do not sell personal data and do not use it for advertising.

4. Sharing

Order and ticket data is shared with the organizer or platform that created the event — they are the party selling the ticket. Infrastructure providers (cloud hosting, email and Telegram delivery, blockchain node providers) process data on our behalf under their own terms. We disclose data to authorities only when legally required.

5. Retention

Orders and tickets are kept for as long as the organizer's account is active and for up to 5 years afterwards for accounting purposes. Demo requests are kept for 12 months. Logs for up to 30 days.

6. Your rights

You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Write to privacy@opengate.im. If you bought a ticket through an organizer, we may direct your request to that organizer as the data controller of the sale.

7. Cookies

The website uses only a local preference for your language. The hosted checkout uses no cookies. We do not run third-party analytics or advertising trackers on these pages.

8. Changes

We will post any changes on this page and update the date above.
